In the top right of the navigation you will find the Magnifying Glass Icon (🔍):

1. Click on the magnifying glass — a search field opens
2. Type at least 1 character
3. Results appear immediately as a dropdown list
4. Click on a result to jump directly there

What is searched?

• Members — Steam name, Discord name, First/Last name
• News — Titles of news items
• Downloads — Titles of approved files
• Forum Threads — Titles of topics
• Forum Posts — Content of posts (with preview text)

The results are grouped by type (Member, News, Download, Forum) and each shows a matching icon.

The Bell (🔔) in the top right shows you unread messages and notifications:

• A red number on the bell indicates how many unread messages you have
• Click on the bell to go directly to your Private Messages

You can also find private messages under Profile → Messages.

The Main Navigation at the top contains all important areas:

• HOME — Start page with news and overview
• RANKING — Leaderboard and Championship
• LIVEBOARD — Live data of the servers
• COMMUNITY — Forum, Members, Shoutbox
• TOOLS — Calculators and utilities (FOV, Tire Pressure, Fuel Calculator)

Menu items with a down arrow (▼) have a dropdown with subpages. Just hover over or click them.

Locked pages: Some menu items are grayed out if you don't have the required role. Clicking them will redirect you to the login.

How to send a message to another user:

1. Go to the user's Profile (e.g., via the member list or search)
2. Click on the Send Message button
3. Write your message and click on Submit

Alternatively: Go to your own profile → Messages → New Message.

You will receive an email notification when you receive a new message (if enabled in the settings).

There are two ways to register:

Way 1 — Via Steam (recommended for ACC players):

1. Click on the LOGIN button at the top right
2. Select Sign in through Steam
3. You will be redirected to Steam — log in there and confirm
4. After logging in, you will automatically land on the Profile Completion page
5. Complete your profile — provide the desired information
6. Click on SAVE CHANGES at the very bottom

Way 2 — Classic via Email:

1. Click on LOGIN at the top right and then on Register
2. Enter your Email address and a Password
3. Confirm your email via the activation link
4. Then complete your profile (fill in required fields)

Important: As long as your profile is not complete, you will be automatically redirected to the settings page upon every visit. This is intentional — only after completion will you have full access to the platform.

Your session normally remains active for 7 days. If you are still logged out:

• Check if your browser allows Cookies for germanracers.de.
• Disable browser extensions that automatically delete cookies.
• Do not use incognito or private mode — sessions are not saved there.

After logging in again via Steam or email, everything is immediately back.

On German Racers, there is a Role System that determines what you can see and do:

• Guest (Rank 0) — Not logged in, can only see public content
• Member (Rank 10) — Default after registration. Access to forum, downloads, profile
• License Gr. A (Rank 20) — Entry license level
• License Gr. B (Rank 30) — Medium license level
• License Gr. C (Rank 40) — Highest license level
• Moderator (Rank 80) — Can moderate posts, manage users, approve content
• Administrator (Rank 100) — Full access to all functions and the admin panel

How do I level up? Roles are assigned by administrators — e.g., after participating in events, through active community involvement, or after passing license tests.

What does the role affect?

• Which Forum Categories you can see and post in
• Which Downloads you are allowed to download
• Whether you can upload files
• Which Servers you are allowed to drive on
• Which Events you can participate in

Setting up your own Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) server is a real pain for many teams and leagues. In this tutorial, we will show you the two ways to get your own server in 2024: The classic, complicated way and the new, completely free 1-click way via German Racers.

Method 1: The classic way (Manual Hosting)

If you want to host your server yourself on your PC or a dedicated server, you have to overcome some technical hurdles:

• 1. Server Files: Download the Assetto Corsa Competizione Dedicated Server via Steam under "Tools".
• 2. Port Forwarding: Log into your router (e.g., FritzBox) and forward the ports 14581 (UDP/TCP) and 14582 (UDP/TCP). Without this forwarding, no one will find your server in the game!
• 3. Firewall: Allow accServer.exe in your Windows Defender Firewall.
• 4. JSON Configuration: Open the cfg folder and edit the files settings.json, configuration.json, and event.json with a text editor. Be careful not to forget any commas, otherwise the server will crash immediately upon starting.

Disadvantage: Your PC has to run 24/7, your ping suffers, and as soon as your IP changes, the router fun often starts all over again.

Method 2: The smart way (1-Click Free Server via German Racers)

We at German Racers were tired of port forwarding and expensive server rentals. That's why we developed a system that provides every SimRacing team with their own dedicated ACC training server fully automatically and 100% free of charge.

Your server is immediately online 24/7 and directly discoverable in the ACC in-game server list. Via your own team dashboard (T-Admin) you can change the server password, switch the track, and restart the server with one click. No ports, no hidden costs, no JSON files.

In the editor, there is a Toolbar above the text field with formatting buttons:

1. Variant 1: Highlight the text first, then click the desired button
2. Variant 2: Click the button first (it will light up red), type your text, click the button again to deactivate

The buttons at a glance:

• B = Bold (Fett)
• I = Italic (Kursiv)
• U = Underline (Unterstrichen)
• S = Strikethrough (Durchgestrichen)
• H1 / H2 / H3 = Headings in various sizes

If the cursor is in a formatted area, the corresponding button lights up red — so you always see which formatting is currently active.

There are two ways to insert an image:

Way 1 — Via the toolbar (fast):

1. Click on the Image Icon (camera symbol) in the toolbar
2. Select an image file from your computer
3. The image is uploaded and directly inserted into the editor at the cursor position

Way 2 — Via the Image Library (right sidebar):

1. To the right of the editor, you will find the IMAGE LIBRARY section
2. Click on UPLOAD IMAGE and select your image
3. The image appears as a small preview (thumbnail)
4. Click on the thumbnail to insert it into the text

Allowed formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP
Maximum size: 10 MB per image

How to create a new topic:

1. Go to the Forum and navigate to the desired category
2. Click the New Topic button in the toolbar
3. Enter a meaningful Title
4. Write your post in the editor — use formatting, insert images, etc.
5. Optional: Attach Files (right sidebar → ADD FILE)
6. Optional: Create a Poll (fields below the editor)
7. Click on SUBMIT

Your topic is immediately visible. You are automatically subscribed and will receive notifications for replies.

When creating a post or topic:

1. Look in the right sidebar — there you will find the FILE ATTACHMENTS section
2. Click on ADD FILE
3. Select one or more files from your computer
4. The selected files will be displayed as a list
5. When submitting the post, they will be uploaded automatically

Allowed file types: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, PDF, ZIP, 7z
Maximum: 5 files per post

If you create a post with a share code or a valuable file, you can enable the PREMIUM DOWNLOAD option:

1. When creating a post: Enable the PREMIUM DOWNLOAD checkbox in the right sidebar
2. The content of your post will be hidden from other users
3. Others must first click the Thank You button to unlock the content

Why? This way you get feedback and know who is using your content. Especially useful for setups, livery codes, or exclusive files.

Insert smileys:

1. Click on the Smiley Icon (😊) in the toolbar
2. A picker opens with all available smileys
3. Click on a smiley — it will be inserted at the cursor position

Change text color:

1. Highlight the text you want to color
2. Click on the Drop Icon (💧) in the toolbar
3. Select a color from the picker

Glow effect (glowing text):

1. Highlight the text
2. Click on the Glitter Dropdown (✨) in the toolbar
3. Select a glow color (Red, Green, or Blue)
4. The text gets a glowing shadow effect

For your own posts, you will see small action icons in the top right:

• Pencil Icon = Edit post — opens the full editor with all formatting options
• Trash Can Icon = Delete post — after confirmation, the post will be removed

Note: Administrators and moderators can edit and delete all posts, not just their own.

Caution: If you delete the last (only) post in a topic, the entire topic will automatically be deleted.

For your own posts, you will see action buttons:

• EDIT — opens a quick inline editor directly in the post
• ADVANCED EDITOR — appears in the inline editor and opens the full editor with toolbar, formatting, image upload, etc.
• DELETE — removes the post after confirmation

Tip: For small corrections, the inline editor is sufficient. For larger changes with images or formatting, use the advanced editor.

Note: Administrators and moderators can edit and delete all posts, not just their own.

Caution: If you delete the last (only) post in a topic, the entire topic will automatically be deleted.

How to embed a YouTube video in your post:

1. Click on the YouTube Icon (red play symbol) in the toolbar
2. An input field appears — paste the YouTube URL (e.g., https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...)
3. Confirm with Enter/OK
4. The video will be displayed as an embedded player in the post

The editor supports voice messages directly in the browser:

1. Click on the Microphone Icon in the toolbar
2. Allow microphone access when your browser asks for it
3. The button turns red — the recording is running
4. Click the button again to stop the recording
5. The voice message is automatically uploaded and inserted as a player in the post

Note: The recording is in WebM format. All modern browsers support playback.

How to download a file from the download area:

1. Go to Downloads in the main menu
2. Click on a Category to expand it — you will see all available files
3. Click on a File to open the detail view
4. There you will see the description, screenshots, and file info
5. Click on the DOWNLOAD button to download the file

Note: Some files require a specific role (e.g., Member). If you don't see a download button, you might not have the necessary permission.

You can share your own setups, liveries, mods, or tools with the community:

1. Go to Downloads
2. Click on UPLOAD FILE in the top right
3. Select a Category (e.g., Setups, Liveries, Tools)
4. Enter a Title — short and descriptive
5. Write a Description — what is in the file, for which car/track, etc.
6. Select your File
7. Optional: Add Screenshots (will be displayed in the detail view)
8. Click on UPLOAD

Important: Your upload must first be approved by an administrator before it is visible to others. You will receive a notification when your file has been approved.

The upload button is only visible if you have the required minimum role. By default, only moderators and admins can upload files.

If you want to share files but don't see an upload button, contact an admin — they can adjust your role or change the upload permissions.

After uploading, your file goes through an approval process:

1. Your file is first subjected to an automatic virus scan.
2. The file is then saved with the status "Waiting for approval".
3. An administrator checks the upload (content, description, category).
4. After a successful check, the file is visible and downloadable for all users.
5. You will receive an email notification as soon as your file is approved.

This process ensures that only high-quality and safe files end up in the download area.

The allowed file types are determined by the administrator. By default:

• Allowed types: ZIP, 7z, RAR, PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP
• Maximum file size: Depending on the server configuration (usually 50-100 MB)

If your file is too large, you will get an error message. In that case: Compress the file (ZIP/7z) or contact an admin.

The FOV Calculator (Field of View) calculates the correct field of view for your sim racing setup. An incorrect FOV distorts the perspective and makes it harder to judge distances and braking points.

The calculator has two modes:

Mode 1 — Setup → FOV: You know your seating distance and want to know the correct FOV value.

1. Enter your Screen size in inches (e.g., 27")
2. Select the Aspect Ratio (16:9, 21:9 Ultrawide, 32:9 Super Ultrawide, etc.)
3. Enter your Seating distance in cm (Distance Eyes → Screen) — use the slider for quick adjustments
4. Select Single or Triple Monitor
5. The correct FOV value is calculated and displayed immediately

Mode 2 — FOV → Distance: You have a target FOV and want to know how far away you need to sit.

1. Enter your desired Target FOV
2. The calculator shows you the required seating distance

Tip: Most sim racers sit too far away and use a FOV that is too high. The correct value might feel "too close" at first, but gives you a realistic sense of space and better braking points.

The Race Pressure Calculator is a professional strategy tool that calculates the optimal cold pressure for each stint — based on the temperature curve during the race.

How it works:

Step 1 — Set reference point:

• Enter the Air and Track temperature at which you calibrated your cold pressure in practice
• Enter your known Cold pressure for all 4 tires (FL, FR, RL, RR in PSI)
• Select the Vehicle class (GT3, GT4, Cup, GT2)

Step 2 — Enter race data:

• Real-time race duration in minutes
• Time multiplier (1× = Real-time, 10× = Accelerated)
• Stint length — how long you drive between pit stops
• Number of stops — or "Auto" for automatic calculation

Step 3 — Temperature curve:

• Enter the Air temperature at race start and end
• Enter the Track temperature at start, peak (highest point), and end
• Determine when the peak is reached (% of the race)

Result:

• An Overview with playtime, stops, start/end pressure, and total change
• A Pit stop plan as a table — the exact cold pressure per tire for every stop
• A Temperature Chart that visualizes the curve of track temperature and cold pressure

Formula: The calculator uses coefficients of 0.07 PSI/°C (Air) and 0.05 PSI/°C (Track) to calculate the pressure change.

You can find the Fuel Calculator in the left sidebar on many pages. It calculates how much fuel you need to put in for a race.

Usage:

1. Select the Track from the dropdown (all ACC tracks available)
2. Select your Vehicle (GT3, GT4, etc.)
3. Enter the Number of laps you want to drive
4. Click on CALC

Result: The calculator shows you the required fuel in liters. The consumption values are based on average community data and take the track length into account.

Tip: Always plan 1-2 extra liters for safety car phases or aggressive driving. It's better to have a bit too much fuel than to run dry on the track.

The Liveboard shows you in real-time what is happening on the German Racers servers. You can find it in the main menu under LIVEBOARD.

What you see:

• Which Drivers are currently online on which server
• The current Track and Session (Practice, Qualifying, Race)
• Live Lap times and positions of the drivers
• Current Weather conditions on the server
• Connection quality of the drivers

The Liveboard updates automatically every few seconds — you don't need to reload the page.

Tip: Use the Liveboard to see if someone is currently on the server before you start the game. This way you avoid empty servers.

The ACC Setup Builder is a comprehensive tool for creating and optimizing car setups for Assetto Corsa Competizione. You can find it under Tools → Setup Builder.

Basic Settings (top):

• Select Vehicle — all GT3 cars available (BMW M4, Porsche 992, Ferrari 296, Mercedes AMG, etc.)
• Select Track — all ACC tracks (Spa, Monza, Nürburgring, Nordschleife, etc.)
• Load Preset — Safe (Standard), Aggressive (Fast), or Wet (Rain) as a starting point
• AUTO-SETUP — automatically generates a setup based on vehicle and track

Setup Areas (Tabs left):

• Tires & Fuel — Cold pressure (FL/FR/RL/RR), Fuel amount, Brake pads (Compound 1-4)
• Electronics — TC (Traction Control), ABS, Engine Map
• Alignment — Camber, Toe, Caster
• Mechanical Grip — Spring rates, Anti-Roll Bars (ARB), Brake bias, Steering ratio
• Dampers — Bump/Rebound settings for all 4 wheels
• Aero — Front splitter, Rear wing, Ride Height
• Tuning Guide — Explains what each setting does and when you should change it

Export: Click on EXPORT to save your setup as a file that you can import directly into ACC.

Tip: Always start with a preset and then adjust individual values. The Tuning Guide explains what happens with each parameter if you increase or decrease it.

Telemetry records your driving data from ACC and evaluates it visually. You can use it to:

• Analyze your lap times
• Compare braking points, speed, and steering angle per corner
• Track your progress over time
• Compare data with other drivers (if shared)

Telemetry data is automatically recorded when you drive on a German Racers server.

How to access your telemetry:

1. Go to the menu under Tools > Telemetry (or use ?page=telemetry).
2. Alternatively, you can find it in your Profile under the Statistics tab.
3. You will see an overview of your recorded sessions.
4. Select a Session to see the details.
5. There you will find charts for speed, braking, throttle, etc.

Note: Telemetry data is only recorded on German Racers servers – not in single-player or on third-party servers.

You can share your telemetry data with other drivers:

1. Go to your Telemetry Overview
2. Select the session you want to share
3. Click on Share or the share icon
4. Other drivers can then view your data and compare it with their own

You can revoke the sharing at any time.

The telemetry comparison works like this:

1. Open one of your Sessions
2. Click on Compare
3. Select another driver from the list (only drivers who have shared their data)
4. The charts will then show both data sets overlaid — so you can see where you lose or gain time

Your avatar is automatically imported from your Steam profile. If you want to change your avatar:

1. Change your profile picture directly in Steam
2. Log out of German Racers and log back in
3. Your new avatar will be automatically updated

Alternatively, you can select one of the standard avatars in your profile settings.

Email Registration: If you registered via email, a random standard avatar will be assigned. You can change this at any time in the profile settings.

Linking your accounts on German Racers ensures that your driving data (telemetry, leaderboard) is correctly assigned and that you benefit from all community features.

How to manage your linked accounts:

1. Go to your Profile → Account tab.
2. There you will find the sections for Steam and Discord integrations.
3. Click on Connect to Steam or Connect to Discord respectively and follow the instructions.

Important Notes:

• Steam: If you registered via email, you should link your Steam account in your profile later to participate in the Leaderboard and Events. Note: Without a Steam integration, your lap times (especially in ACC) cannot be correctly assigned.
• Discord: The Discord integration is optional but recommended. Community announcements, event reminders, and forum syncing are handled via Discord.

You can specify exactly which emails you want to receive:

1. Go to your Profile → Account tab
2. Scroll to the Notifications section
3. There you will find toggle cards for various categories:
   • Forum — New replies in subscribed threads
   • News — New messages/announcements
   • Events — New events and reminders
   • Downloads — When your upload has been approved
   • Private Messages — When you receive a PM
4. Click on a card to enable/disable it
5. Don't forget to save

German Racers offers various themes:

1. Go to your Profile → Account tab
2. Look for the Design / Theme section
3. Select a theme from the list (depending on the portal, there are different themes)
4. Click on SAVE CHANGES
5. The page reloads with the new design

In your profile, you can determine what information other users are allowed to see:

• Date of Birth — Visible / Age only / Hidden
• Location — Visible / Hidden
• Online Status — Show if you are currently online
• Telemetry — Whether others can view your driving data

You can find these settings in the profile under Account in the Privacy section.

How to participate in a community event:

1. Go to Events in the main menu
2. You will see a list of all upcoming events with date, track, and rules
3. Click on an event to see the details
4. Click on SIGN UP to register
5. You will receive a confirmation and be automatically added to the server's entry list

Note: For some events you need a Steam integration and a certain minimum rating (SA).

The leaderboard shows the fastest lap times of all drivers on the German Racers servers:

• The times are recorded automatically when you drive on our public German Racers servers.
• Important: Drives on special event servers or in championships are excluded from the general leaderboard – you will find these times directly in the respective Championship areas.
• It is always your personal best time per track/car combination that counts.
• You can filter by Track, Car, and Class.

Requirement: Your Steam account must be linked to your German Racers profile so that your times can be assigned correctly.

Possible reasons why your times are not displayed:

• Steam not linked — Go to your profile and link your Steam account
• Invalid lap — Laps with cuts or collisions are sometimes not counted
• Wrong server — Only times on official German Racers servers are recorded
• Delay — It may take a few minutes for new times to appear on the leaderboard

If the problem persists, contact an admin.

The Driver of the Day is a community award:

• After each event, all participants can vote for the best driver
• Criteria: Fairness, pace, overtaking maneuvers, sportsmanship
• The winner is highlighted on the start page

In racing events, points are awarded according to placement:

• The exact points distribution is determined by the event organizer
• Points flow into the Season Standings
• At the end of a season, the overall winner is crowned

You can always find the current points distribution in the event details.

The Championship is the season ranking system of German Racers. You can find it under Ranking → Championship.

Two Modes:

• CASUAL — Based on your activity on the public servers. The more tracks you drive and the better your times, the higher your score. What counts here: Score, Tracks driven, and Total laps.
• PRO — Based on official league events and races. What counts here: Points, Races, Wins, Podiums, Pole Positions, and Fastest laps.

Tier System:

Based on your score/points, you are placed in a tier:

• 🏆 Champion — The absolute top
• 💎 Diamond — Elite drivers
• 💜 Platinum — Very experienced
• 🥇 Gold — Above average
• 🥈 Silver — Solid base
• 🥉 Bronze — Climbers
• 🏁 Rookie — Beginners

Podium: The top 3 drivers are prominently displayed on a podium with their avatar and tier color.

Search: At the top there is a search field — you can search by Name, Discord name, or Steam ID to find a specific driver in the ranking.

Calculation: The ranking is automatically recalculated in the background every 30 minutes.
